Maryland Right to Life (MDRTL), the largest and most effective pro-life group in Maryland, announces its 2007 Membership Drive, which will take place throughout the state.

A nonsectarian, nonpartisan organization devoted to the protection of all innocent human life from conception to natural death. MDRTL works to build a culture in which abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, and the destruction of human embryos are socially, ethically, and legally unacceptable and promotes positive, compassionate alternatives.

“The pro-life movement is rooted in compassion,” states MDRTL president Angela Martin. “Sadly, the facts about abortion are often misunderstood. Maryland Right to Life members recognize that every human life is precious and worthy of protection. We want to protect both mothers and their unborn babies. We believe in the innate value of all people, regardless of age, disability, or condition of dependency.”

MDRTL is an advocate for life in the Maryland legislature and provides the public with factual information about fetal development, abortion, crisis pregnancy alternatives, infanticide, stem-cell research, cloning, euthanasia, and related life issues. “We want people to be able to make informed decisions about these issues,” Martin says.

MDRTL welcomes new members who want to share in its mission to protect the defenseless through legislative action and education. Members who donate at least $20 will receive an MDRTL window decal and a subscription to the Life Report, MDRTL’s quarterly update. Members also are eligible to obtain the official MDRTL “Life Is Precious” license plate.
