Help MDRTL Protect Pregnancy Resource Centers in Montgomery County
The battle to shut down pregnancy resource centers continues!
NARAL and Planned Parenthood have launched a nationwide campaign aimed at destroying the good work done by pregnancy centers. By working to pass seemingly innocuous legislation requiring “truth in advertising” – but only for pro-life pregnancy centers – they are promoting the concept that pro-life pregnancy centers deceive and manipulate women into staying pregnant. These measures clearly are examples coerced speech, forced on charitable organizations because of their position against abortion.
They won in Baltimore, passing a bill that was signed into law on Dec. 4, 2009. A more offensive bill is being considered in Montgomery County, where a hearing before the Health & Human Services Committee is scheduled for Jan. 25, 2010.

Montgomery County residents should contact the members of the Montgomery County Council to voice opposition to the regulation unfairly targeting pregnancy centers. If possible, plan to attend the committee hearing at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 25. For information, call 240-777-7900.
STOP THE OBAMA ABORTION AGENDA
The “Freedom of Choice” Act (known as FOCA) is not dead — it's just gone underground.
Congress is not considering FOCA or any similar legislation. However, proposed health care reform could make the Hyde Amendment meaningless by funding abortions on a massive scale.
The president has not waivered in his pledge to reverse all of the protections that the pro-life movement has fought so hard for over the past 30 years. He staunchly support the pro-abortion lobby, which is seeking to:
➢ force tax payers to pay for abortions.
➢ eliminate regulations that protect women from unsafe abortion clinics.
➢ require all states to legalize partial birth abortions.
➢ subject women to abortions by non-physicians.
➢ strips parent of their right to be know when their minor daughter seeks an abortion.
➢ violate the conscience rights of doctors, nurses, and hospitals.
Let your legislators know that you oppose any attempt to advance the abortion agenda.
